Dream

“Meh udna chhatah hun, daudna chatah hun, girna bhi chatah hun magar rukna nahi chahti”(I want to fly, I want to run, I want to fall too but never want to stop). This dialogue struck my head as I was watching “Yeh jawani hai deewani” movie. I have always wondered what if I were a traveler, roaming all around the world, eating different types of food, experiencing different culture and meeting people from different walks of life. Life would be so much exciting if we could visit every corner of this world and see every beauty that our mother earth has bestowed us with.

Everything is possible in a movie.  As in this movie, the actor too has the same aspiration to travel around the world and he did in fact. It is not that simple in real life though. We are bound by our responsibilities. As a student, we have to get good marks so we could get a proper job in a reputed organization that will secure our life. But what’s the cost of dreaming. We can dream anything right. That’s why people say dream big, it does come true.

And so I dream of being on the top of Mount Everest and seeing below. I want to be on that very edge of Victoria waterfall, listening to its deafening roar and gazing at the rainbow in its mist. I want to feel my fingers numb by touching the ice cold water from many of our glacier here in Nepal. I want to watch bear catching fish in the Alaska, play with dolphins, and get tanned in the beach of Thailand. I want to feel that adrenaline rush you experience while diving off a plane or diving deep into the ocean. Everything that beautiful cities have to offer: Venice, Paris, Athens, Prague, Vienna, Lisbon, Amsterdam, Florence and the list goes on. I want to see all of them. This is my dream. To experience the wild life in the Sahara desert and dance along with native people of Africa. To become amazed by the Pyramids of the Egypt, see the largest statue of Jesus Christ in Rio De Jenerio and do samba dance in Brazil. To go skiing in Switzerland and eat richly flavored chocolates. To observe evening aarti in the Varanasi temple. To admire the beauty of Taj Mahal. And there are these medieval castles especially in England or old palaces here in Nepal that whenever I see them in picture while surfing on the internet, it makes me want to explore them right away.

There are so many beautiful places in our country that are not much visited or what some people call as “road less travelled”. There are places which are unbelievable, extraordinary and breathtaking which makes you want to believe that truly this is “heaven on earth”. I wish at least once in every year of my life I could get the opportunity to use this expression.
